Rights of Way and Category Listing

Some people have recently commented that some of the footpaths are somewhat overgrown. Whist the PC appreciates the challenges this may cause, we intentionally leave the cutting until after July so as to help the environment maintain its diversity and vigor. there is also the fact that many species of birds are nesting at this time and the disturbance and possible destruction of their nesting positions would be extremely damaging.

So if there is an extreme problem, please let us know at the Parish Council and we will look into the problem, but we take our responsibility to maintain the flora and fauna of this beautiful Parish very seriously as this is one of the jewels in our crown.

Footpath 52 (Hayle River)

Due to exceptional erosion along the banks of the river, there are two sections which have been closed. However there are short diversions in place so the footpath can still be used.

Gold: National routes (e.g. SW Coastpath) Strategic routes promoted by Cornwall Council, Links to National routes and links between communities and well known local paths.

Silver: Local routes linking existing Highways and local circular routes.

Bronze: Dead end, or little used paths.
