CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Switch on this year is on December 2nd. 6.00 pm at the memorial hall the 6.30 pm down at Relubbus. Each year the gathering gets larger and it is a great time to meet neighbours and friends whilst enjoying a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.

The Memorial

Wreathes were laid at the Memorial at St Hilary Church this morning, 11th November 2017 to remember all those who have died in conflicts in order to provide and maintain the freedoms we all enjoy today.

A small gathering attended and having laid the wreaths, most attended a short service in the church.

The Big Red Swap Box

You may have noticed that the phone box at the top of the hill from the school is packed with books. This is because it has been turned into a children’s Book Swap Box.

Children are encouraged to donate a book or two when borrowing one to take home and read.

Boundary Stones

As you may have noticed, all the St Hilary parish boundary stones have now been erected and they look brilliant.

You may have also noticed the old stile stone had to be used on the A394 East bound near the bridge as there were location issues with the new style. We are sure these will stand the test of time and be appreciated for many years.
