Why stay in St Hilary ?

There are many delightful places to stay in St Hilary parish from B & B to Pub accommodation to a range of camping opportunities. Below are a list of just a few of these but there will undoubtedly be more results in a google search of the area.

St Hilary is a very rural parish and thus affords ample opportunities to enjoy country walks, utilising its extensive public footpath network. In addition to this it has good access to many top quality beaches which are highly rated for their clean water and safe swimming, many have good lifeguard cover throughout the holiday season. Surfing is also a popular attraction in west Cornwall and there are ample locations on both coasts to pursue this sport, several locations also offer tuition for those interested in taking up the activity.

For those interested in the sport of shopping, the towns of Penzance, Helston and Hayle are nearby and provide a wide variety of independent shops along with the more well known high street names. Marazion is our closest town and has an interesting center with a variety of art and antique shops along with general stores and post office. Marazion also has top quality hotel accommodation and B & B. St Micheal’s Mount is a well know and very popular attraction offering a glimpse into the past with stunning views and a quaint harbour town. The Mount is accessible via causeway when the tide allows and via a boat service every few minutes.
